Roses are symbols of love, purity, and happiness. The pineapple is used for hospitality, the pomegranate for fruitfulness.

All you need are 6-8 pairs of old jeans and 2 metres
or 2½ yards of flannel fabric. The more variety in jean colours, the more interesting your result will be.
The great thing is that you don't even have to wash the flannel fabric. Infact, it is very important that you
don't" wash the fabric. This means you can get started straight away. One strong tradition in European American quilting is the influence of the Amish. Using simple design and pattern, the Amish created a strong tradition, especially in the Northern colonies, with strict discipline and pattern.
